These are new images from my archive. They were taken in November, 1953 at Tuxtla Gutierrez,Mexico before the start of the Mexican Road Race. The pictures of the Porsche Spyders with the driver Karl Kling on hand with the mechanics as they prepare the cars for the race.
The Ferrari image is of Phil Hill and Richie Ginther working on their car in the garage a day or two before the start. Unfortunately, they crashed early in the race but were able to walk away from what was a serious accident.
Lastly is the French Gordini driven by Jean Behra. His mechanic works on the car,again in the garage in Tuxtla near the start. Behra did not finish the race due to mechanical problems.

I missed seeing you at the "Art and the Automobile" which I believe was your first visit to Canada last October.
Hope you get to publish another book on the early Porsche racing, they are really great photos.
